The Free Health Check in Schools (CKG) program is set to reach 53 million students nationwide in Indonesia. This initiative, overseen by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, covers all types of educational institutions, including public, private, and religious schools. Hariqo Wibawa Satria, Senior Expert Staff at the Presidential Communication Office, highlighted Indonesia’s status as the fourth-largest country globally with a population of 285 million. He emphasized that every citizen, including students, will receive free health checks, in line with President Prabowo’s vision of a Golden Generation by 2045. The Ministry of Health’s efforts in implementing this program were lauded.
President Prabowo views Indonesian children as a crucial national asset, influencing various strategic policies and priority programs aimed at their well-being. Initiatives such as Free Nutritious Meals, Capacity Expansion of Public Hospitals, and Digital Learning Initiatives demonstrate the government’s commitment to enhancing education and health services. Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar confirmed the inclusion of all religious-based education units in the CKG program, emphasizing the ministry’s dedication to interfaith service delivery. With over 12.5 million students under its supervision, religious schools play a vital role in advancing the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision.
Minister Nasaruddin urged religious schools to fully support the program by providing necessary equipment and engaging teachers and staff in technical support. Regional Office Heads and District Heads of the Ministry of Religious Affairs have been instructed to monitor the program closely and ensure compliance. Non-compliance with the CKG program will be closely monitored and addressed, underscoring the program’s significance in fostering a healthy, intelligent, and globally competitive generation for Indonesia’s future.
