The Garuda Merah Putih-II Task Force successfully conducted a humanitarian aid mission to Gaza Strip, Palestine on August 17, 2025, coinciding with Indonesia’s 80th independence anniversary. The mission was a collaborative effort involving the Ministry of Defense, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the National Alms Agency (Baznas).

Two Indonesian Air Force C-130J Super Hercules aircraft departed from King Abdullah II Air Base in Amman, Jordan, at 10:37 a.m. local time on Sunday and conducted an airdrop of aid supplies over Gaza before safely returning to the forward operating base at 12:25 p.m. Colonel Pilot Puguh Yulianto, Commander of the Garuda Merah Putih-II Task Force, reported that the mission went smoothly without significant obstacles.

The aid packages included essential supplies such as staple foods, ready-to-eat meals, medical equipment, blankets, and items specifically for children. This mission was carried out under the direct orders of President Prabowo Subianto as part of Indonesia’s commitment to international humanitarian solidarity.

The success of the mission on Indonesia’s independence anniversary was celebrated as a moment of national pride, highlighting Indonesia’s active role on the world stage and its contributions to global peace. Yulianto stated that this achievement marked a historic milestone and a special gift for Indonesia’s Independence Day.
