Ilyas Indra, the Chairman of the Central Executive Board of the Indonesian National Committee for Youth (KNPI) along with the Chairman of the Indonesian Youth Council, H. Fahd Arafiq, expressed their support for the quick count results of the presidential election. According to them, various institutions have recorded results that are not far from the lead of the 02 presidential candidate, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
“We congratulate Mr. Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka as the President and Vice President of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 period,” said Ilyas in a press statement received on Friday (2/16/2024).
As an academic and lecturer at several universities, Ilyas stated that the quick count results provide an objective picture in determining the winning candidates that can be academically accountable.
“It can be estimated that the real count results will not be much different from the quick count results,” he said confidently.
Ilyas continued, as the Chairman of the DPP KNPI, he, along with the Chairman of the MPI DPP KNPI Fahd Rafiq and the entire board of the DPP and DPD throughout Indonesia, urged all components to respect and honor the results of the 2024 elections, both quick count and real count.
“We will wait for the results from the KPU, and the counting will be completed. We also urge all components of the nation to continue to maintain peace and unity among all Indonesian people,” he urged.
